In 2025, US-built Genesis Electrified GV70 will feature CarPlay, major redesign coming in 2026

The 2025 Genesis Electrified GV70 has received a few updates, including the addition of wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as Genesis Connected Services telematics. The vehicle continues to offer a 77.4-kWh battery pack and a dual-motor all-wheel drive powertrain that produces 429 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque, with a boost mode that increases power to 483 horsepower for short bursts. The EPA-estimated range remains at 236 miles. Pricing for the 2025 Electrified GV70 starts at $68,300 for the Advanced grade and $75,100 for the Prestige grade, inclusive of a $1,350 destination charge.

The big changes for the Genesis Electrified GV70 are expected to come in 2026, with the introduction of a refreshed model featuring a 27-inch floating display screen that combines the instrument cluster and infotainment touchscreen. This updated model will also include interior ambient lighting, digital climate controls, and some minor exterior styling changes. The GV70 originally launched in the U.S. as a 2023 model and was the first Genesis vehicle to feature a multi-rapid-charging system that allows for charging at 400 or 800 volts.

Genesis began production of the Electrified GV70 in Alabama in 2023, although the updated model is set to arrive in the U.S. market slightly later than in other regions. Despite being manufactured in the U.S. and falling below the $80,000 price cap for SUVs, the Electrified GV70 does not currently qualify for a federal EV tax credit. Genesis is reportedly reevaluating its EV strategy, considering the introduction of new hybrid models in addition to electric and hydrogen fuel-cell vehicles. This could include a hybrid version of the GV70 as part of a revised plan to transition away from combustion engines by 2030.

Overall, the 2025 Genesis Electrified GV70 offers a blend of luxury, performance, and innovative technology, with updates planned for the 2026 model year to further enhance the driving experience. With the addition of wireless connectivity features and continued advancements in electric vehicle technology, the GV70 is positioned to remain a competitive option in the luxury SUV segment. Stay tuned for more updates on the Genesis Electrified GV70 as the brand continues to evolve its electrification strategy.
