The Tesla Cybertruck is getting even more extreme with the announcement of “apocalypse ready” Sting packages by Archimedes Defense and UP.FIT. These upgrades are targeted towards government and defense applications but also cater to civilian use. Three packages have been outlined, with pre-orders now open although pricing details have not been released.
Base Sting Baja Package:
The Base Sting Baja package includes Starlink connectivity with a satellite receiver mounted in the bed of the Cybertruck. Additionally, an AMP Drive G125 800-volt generator is mounted in the frunk. This generator can run on jet fuel, JP-8, diesel, and biodiesel, providing up to 125 kw of energy to recharge the Cybertruck or another EV. It comes with a NACS charging cable and adapters for non-NACS vehicles.
Sting Protector Package:
The Sting Protector package adds bolt-on offset steel armor plating to the Cybertruck. These panels are designed to withstand a 7.62 mm assault rifle. This package can be added without the Sting Baja package’s generator, offering an alternative option for enhanced protection.
Sting APC Package:
The Sting APC package takes the armor plating to the next level with IED and mine protection. It features upgraded bolt-on offset steel and ceramic plating, providing defense against 14.5 mm heavy machine guns. This package offers the highest level of protection for the Cybertruck.
Police Package:
In addition to the Sting packages, UP.FIT announced a police package for the Cybertruck. This package is designed to meet the specific needs of law enforcement agencies and is set to be delivered to the Irvine Police Department for their fleet.
