Unveiling Karma’s Production-Ready Coupe and GT-UV Concept at Pebble Beach

Karma Automotive, the company born from the failure of Fisker Automotive, is preparing to make a splash at the 2024 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance with the unveiling of two new models. Both models will be positioned as ultra-luxury vehicles and are set to go on sale later in the 2020s. The company has set ambitious goals for itself, aiming to become the first American ultra-luxury automaker since the departure of iconic brands like Auburn, Duesenberg, Packard, and Pierce-Arrow in the late 1930s. It remains to be seen if Karma can succeed where others have failed.

One of the new models set to debut at Pebble Beach is the Kaveya, a carbon fiber-bodied coupe first announced in November 2023. The interior of the Kaveya will be revealed at the event, featuring a futuristic design with a rectangular steering wheel, a thin dashboard, and a small digital instrument cluster. Originally planned with variants offering 536 and 1,180 horsepower, Karma now claims the model will produce 1,000 horsepower, though the drivetrain configuration remains undisclosed. The price of the Kaveya is expected to start around $300,000, with production slated to begin in 2026.

Another model to be showcased at Pebble Beach is the GT-UV, characterized by Karma as a multi-terrain-capable vehicle that will create a new segment in the market. While seemingly an SUV, Karma emphasizes that the GT-UV will offer exotic proportions and a dramatic four-seater concept never before seen in the ultra-luxury segment. The unveiling of the GT-UV will test whether Karma can live up to its lofty promises.

In conclusion, the automotive world will be watching as Karma Automotive reveals its latest creations at the 2024 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. The unveiling of the Kaveya and GT-UV models will demonstrate whether Karma can truly establish itself as a major player in the ultra-luxury market. Stay tuned for more details on these groundbreaking vehicles.
