Top Cars Being Discontinued After 2023

In the automotive industry, new car models are constantly being introduced, but at the same time, some iconic nameplates are being discontinued. This trend has become more apparent in recent years as automakers shift towards electrification and changing consumer preferences. As we look towards 2024 and beyond, several well-known vehicles will be retiring from production, making way for newer, more sustainable alternatives. While the end of production doesn’t necessarily mean the end of the road for these models, some may be resurrected in the future as electric vehicles (EVs).

**Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio and Stelvio Quadrifoglio**
Alfa Romeo has bid farewell to its combustion-only Quadrifoglio models in 2024 as the company transitions to an electrified future. Despite the discontinuation, there are hints of a potential return for the Quadrifoglio in a different form in the years to come.

**Chevrolet Camaro**
After 2024, GM will cease production of the Chevrolet Camaro, but not without a proper send-off in the form of a Collector’s Edition. The possibility of a future electric version of the Camaro remains a topic of speculation among fans and experts.

**Chevrolet Malibu**
The Chevy Malibu will also be discontinued in November 2024, making room for the production of a new vehicle to replace the Chevy Bolt. General Motors’ decision to end the Malibu’s run reflects the company’s strategic shift towards electric vehicles.

**Dodge Durango**
Following 2024, the Dodge Durango will be replaced by the Stealth nameplate, with rumors suggesting a potential return for the Durango in the form of a body-on-frame SUV based on the Jeep Wagoneer’s platform.

**Ford Edge**
After a successful run since 2007, the Ford Edge will see its final year in the U.S. market in 2024. With consistent sales exceeding 100,000 units in most years, the Edge’s departure marks the end of an era for the popular SUV.

As the automotive industry evolves, the discontinuation of these vehicles signifies a pivotal moment in the industry’s transition towards electrification and sustainable mobility solutions. While we bid farewell to these iconic nameplates, we can look forward to the new and innovative models that will shape the future of transportation.
