Volkswagen’s New Golf R: More Power, Better Performance
Volkswagen recently unveiled the new Golf R, giving us a closer look at the hot hatchback’s improved performance and features. The Special driving mode designed for the Nürburgring track is another noteworthy addition.
Enhanced Design and Performance with the Golf R Black Edition
For European markets, Volkswagen offers the Golf R Black Edition, a special version of the hatchback with dark accents, larger 19-inch wheels, and the Performance Package as standard. Customers have the option to upgrade to lighter alloys at an additional cost. Volkswagen is also working on a more track-focused Clubsport variant based on the Golf R hatchback. This new model will likely offer enhanced performance features and will serve as an all-wheel-drive counterpart to the GTI Clubsport. Unfortunately, these models are not currently available in the US, with details about their potential release still pending.
Changes in the 2025 Golf R Lineup
