The Latest Nissan Patrol Features a V-6 Engine without Turbocharging

Nissan has finally unveiled the seventh-generation model of the Nissan Patrol, replacing the previous model that had been on sale for 14 years. The new model, set to be released in 2024, offers a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V-6 engine as well as a base 3.8-liter V-6 option. While the turbocharged engine provides more power, the naturally aspirated engine is expected to be cheaper and potentially more reliable in the long run. However, the NA engine may consume more fuel due to the vehicle’s size and weight. Both engines come with a nine-speed automatic transmission.

Power and Performance
The twin-turbo 3.5-liter V-6 engine in the new Nissan Patrol delivers impressive power with 425 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque. This engine provides a more dynamic driving experience, making the Patrol a robust off-roading vehicle. The 3.8-liter V-6 engine, on the other hand, offers 316 horsepower and 285 lb-ft of torque, providing a more budget-friendly option for consumers. Both engines offer capable performance for a vehicle of this size and class.

Design and Features
The new Nissan Patrol features a bold and rugged design, emphasizing its off-road capabilities. With a spacious interior and advanced technology features, the Patrol offers a comfortable and luxurious driving experience. The vehicle comes equipped with a range of safety features and driver-assist technologies, enhancing overall safety and convenience for drivers and passengers.

Market Availability
The Nissan Patrol will be initially available in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and other countries in the GCC region. In Australia, the vehicle will be sold as the Patrol rather than the Armada. The release date for the Patrol in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and the wider Middle East region is set for November 1. As the popularity of SUVs continues to rise in these markets, the Nissan Patrol is expected to attract a wide range of customers looking for a reliable and capable off-road vehicle.

Potential for Nismo Version
While there is no confirmation of a Nismo version of the new Nissan Patrol, previous generations have seen high-performance derivatives with enhanced styling and additional horsepower. With Nissan’s recent release of Nismo-badged vehicles like the Ariya Nismo and Skyline Nismo, there is a possibility that a Nismo version of the Patrol could be introduced in the future. This would cater to customers looking for a more sporty and dynamic driving experience with the iconic Nismo branding.
