The latest Hyundai Santa Cruz will be even more powerful

The 2024 New York Auto Show is just around the corner, and Hyundai has announced that they will be unveiling the 2025 Santa Cruz alongside the refreshed Tucson. The new Santa Cruz will feature fresh styling and “improved capability,” with a revamped interior, new infotainment system, and rugged-themed design tweaks on the exterior. Additionally, more standard-issue driver-assist systems will be included in the new model.

Teaser Images
Hyundai’s announcement came with two teaser images of the 2025 Santa Cruz. The first image shows the pickup from the back, showcasing a new rear fascia with larger corner cutouts and trim extending further up the sides. The second image provides a close-up of the new Santa Cruz grille, featuring rectangular cutouts instead of the previous blade designs. Both teaser images are identified as the rugged-themed XRT trim, which adds bold plastic fender flares, side steps, door trim, and a blackout treatment to the truck.

2024 Hyundai Santa Cruz XRT
Hyundai’s mention of extra capability in the new Santa Cruz may hint at the XRT trim receiving some off-road upgrades. With the Ford Maverick as its main competitor in the small truck segment, which offers an FX4 package with functional off-road components, it would make sense for Hyundai to enhance the Santa Cruz’s capabilities. The 281-horsepower turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine connected to an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox driving all four wheels remains the same in the XRT trim.

Debut at 2024 New York Auto Show
