The Latest Audi A3 is Filled with In-Car Subscriptions

Since its inception in 1996, the Audi A3 has carved a niche for itself in the compact luxury car segment. The latest update to the Audi A3 is set to grace the US market for the 2025 model year. Even as it carries forward its legacy, Audi’s newest addition to its line up raises eyebrows with its in-car subscriptions. This article delves into details about the 2025 Audi A3, its design, interior, performance, and the new in-car subscription model implemented by Audi.

A Look at the 2025 Audi A3 Design

At the first glance, the 2025 Audi A3 looks strikingly similar to its predecessor. The major design changes in the 2025 model include a hexagonal Singleframe grille aligned with Audi’s latest designs. New additions include bigger air intakes at the base of the bumper, an updated Audi logo, and streamlined LED and matrix LED headlights. A highlight of the trademark rear bumper design takes inspiration from the RS3 and includes a black accent piece along with a mesh insert at the base.

Interior Upgrades and Subscriptions

While the exterior design remains somewhat in-line with the previous model, the interior sees some sweeping changes. The 10.1-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster remain same as last year’s model. Nonetheless, basic features like high-beam assist, dual-zone climate control, and adaptive cruise control now come with an in-car subscription fee.

The MMI navigation system gives access to the app store but forces users into add-ons like adaptive cruise control and smartphone integration. These added features are available for varying subscription terms or for a permanent purchase.
