The 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 Final Edition: A Farewell to the V-8 Power
When Jeep introduced the 6.4-liter Hemi V-8 engine to the Wrangler lineup in 2020, it raised eyebrows among traditional Wrangler enthusiasts. However, the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 quickly became the flagship of the Wrangler line thanks to its impressive performance capabilities. Now, four years later, Jeep has announced that the V-8-powered Wrangler’s story will come to a close with the 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 Final Edition.
The Final Edition model will be limited to 3,700 units, with the majority staying in North America. Each Final Edition Wrangler will come equipped with the same 6.4-liter, 470-horsepower V-8 engine and eight-speed automatic transmission as previous Rubicon 392 models. Additionally, the Final Edition will feature a half-inch suspension lift, rock sliders, a grille guard, an 8,000-pound winch, and the Xtreme 35 Tire Package with 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels and 35-inch tires. The vehicle will also include special decals, black Nappa leather seats with gold accents, and unique badging to signify its Final Edition status.
For those who opt for a standard 2024 Wrangler Rubicon 392, they will still receive many of the same features as the Final Edition model, including the Xtreme 35 Tire Package, 12-way power heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel. The base price for the 2024 Wrangler Rubicon 392 is $93,440, making it a luxury off-roader for those willing to invest in top-notch performance.
While the production of the last V-8 Jeep Wrangler is set to begin in the spring of 2024, orders are currently being accepted. However, delivery timelines have not yet been provided. It is worth noting that the Dodge Durango is expected to be the last vehicle to feature a Hemi V-8 engine, with Last Call models being released later this year.
In conclusion, the 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 Final Edition marks the end of an era for V-8-powered Wranglers. With its impressive performance capabilities and exclusive features, this limited-run model is sure to become a collector’s item for Jeep enthusiasts.
