New Pricing for 2025 Polestar 3
The pricing of the 2025 Polestar 3 is official, revealing that the car comes at a bit lower price than previously estimated. The cheapest and the only model released for 2024 had a price tag of $85,300, while the starting price for the 2025 model has been set at $74,800, inclusive of the $1,400 destination charge.
Features of the New Model
Purchasing the new model gives you the base Long Range Dual Motor with a Pilot Pack. The pack boasts of numerous automating assistance features including, Pilot Assist, Park Assist Pilot, Lane Change Assist and a head-up display. It’s noteworthy that all announced models for 2025 are Long Range Dual Motor versions, including a Pilot Pack. However, Polestar is yet to announce any model of lesser specifications or features.
Difference between the 2024 and 2025 Models
The base Long Range Dual Motor, inclusive of the Pilot and Plus Packs, defines the 2024 model offered by Polestar. On the other hand, the 2025 model comes as a $5,000 downgrade; this model costs $80,300. The Plus Pack provides additional luxury features such as a 25-speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio system, wool seats, an air purifier, 21-inch wheels, and heated rear seats.
Performance Pack Cars for 2025
Choosing the Performance Pack cars for 2025 also presents a considerable discount. The starting price for this model is $80,800, up to $86,300 if you add a Plus Pack, marking a $5,000 discount compared to the 2024 model. The Performance Pack offers an additional 28 horsepower and 51 pound-feet of torque (making a total of 517 and 671 respectively), a more aggressive suspension tuning, gold accents throughout the car, and 22-inch forged wheels.
Expected Production and Delivery Timeline
Currently, purchasing the Polestar 3 would not qualify you for a $7,500 tax credit – this is because the car is being produced in Chengdu, China. However, it’s expected that the tax credit will apply once the production of the car moves to South Carolina, purportedly in mid-2024. Polestar nonetheless offers a lease option of the Chinese-built cars to benefit from the tax credit. The deliveries for the new model are expected to commence in the second quarter of this year.
