Pininfarina recently unveiled the Battista Targamerica, the first client-commissioned one-off car to be built as a standalone brand. This unique model is based on an electric hypercar and features a removable roof panel that provides unlimited headroom. The Battista Targamerica was commissioned by a renowned car collector who already owned a Battista and desired the option of a roof-less design. The client worked closely with Pininfarina’s design team during the development process, drawing inspiration from the 1986 Ferrari Testarossa Spider.
### Unique Design Features
The Battista Targamerica is finished in a subtle silver shade with blue accents, reminiscent of the Testarossa Spider. The trunk lid features slats similar to those on the iconic Ferrari model, while the removal of the roof allows for an open-air driving experience. Significant modifications were made to the body to accommodate the roof-less design, creating a truly one-of-a-kind appearance.
### Luxurious Interior
Inside, the Targamerica boasts tan leather upholstery on the seats, black leather on the steering wheel and dashboard, and a custom “one of one” plaque. The car comes with a set of tailored luggage made from the same leather as the seats, along with a unique cigar holder and humidor. This luxurious feature is integrated between the seats, back-lit, and designed to store up to three cigars, adding a touch of sophistication to the interior.
### Exclusive Showcase
Pininfarina will showcase the Battista Targamerica at The Quail, a Motorsport Gathering, before delivering it to the client. The car was commissioned during Monterey Car Week and took a year to develop and build by hand. While the Targamerica is a one-off creation, Pininfarina has no plans to replicate it, ensuring its exclusivity for the client. Davide Amantea, Pininfarina’s chief design officer, emphasized that the Targamerica will remain a unique vehicle in the brand’s portfolio.
