McLaren Refuses to Develop a Supercar That is Below the Artura in Their Lineup

Introduction:
McLaren has no plans to introduce a new supercar below the Artura anytime soon, as the automaker is looking to expand its lineup with more up-market options. Jamie Corstorphine, McLaren’s Director of Product Planning, stated that the 570S did not meet customer or media expectations, leading to the development of the Artura as the new entry point into the brand’s supercars with a starting price of just over $250,000. Despite facing development and production hurdles, the Artura finally debuted in early 2021, featuring a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter hybrid V-6 powertrain with a combined 671 horsepower.
