Introducing the 2025 Nissan Armada

Nissan’s 2025 Armada: A Complete Redesign

Nissan’s biggest SUV, the Armada, is set to receive a major makeover for the 2025 model year. The three-row SUV has been completely redesigned with a sharper exterior, a tech-heavy interior, a new engine, and the introduction of a rugged off-road trim in the US.

Improved Performance with a New Engine

The 2025 Armada is powered by a new twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 engine borrowed from the Infiniti QX80. This engine delivers 425 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque, providing a significant boost in power compared to the outgoing V-8 engine. Paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission and adaptive four-wheel drive, the new Armada offers improved performance on and off the road.

Enhanced Capability with Off-Road Trim

The 2025 Armada sees a 25% increase in torsional rigidity and a 57% increase in lateral stiffness, resulting in improved ride quality and enhanced off-road capability. The addition of the Pro-4X off-road trim introduces features like 20-inch all-terrain tires, an adaptive air suspension, a metal skid plate, and a genuine electronic locking rear differential. With these upgrades, the Armada Pro-4X boasts impressive ground clearance and versatile approach, breakover, and departure angles.

Luxury and Safety Features

For those less interested in off-roading, the new Platinum Reserve model offers exclusive features such as 22-inch wheels, massaging seats, a rear LED light bar, and a head-up display. In terms of safety, the 2025 Armada comes equipped with standard features like automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, and lane-departure warning. The availability of Pro Pilot Assist and Pro Pilot 2.1 systems further enhances the vehicle’s safety and driving assist capabilities.

Advanced Technology and Connectivity

The interior of the 2025 Armada features two 12.3-inch screens, offering a digital cluster and center touchscreen with Google functions and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Higher trim levels like the Pro-4X, Platinum, and Platinum Reserve come with dual 14.3-inch displays with additional functionality.

Competitive Pricing and Availability

While the pricing for the 2025 Armada has not been announced yet, Nissan aims to keep it competitive with rivals like the Chevrolet Tahoe, Ford Expedition, and Toyota Sequoia. The updated SUV is set to go on sale later this year, offering a comprehensive redesign with enhanced performance, capability, luxury, safety, and technology features.
