Audi Releases its Strongest Vehicle to Date

The 2025 Audi E-Tron GT: More Power, Faster Charging, and Longer Range

After the Porsche Taycan received a substantial mid-cycle update, the 2025 Audi E-Tron GT is following suit with a range of improvements to unlock more power, faster charging speeds, and longer range. With three distinct versions to choose from, the E-Tron GT lineup includes the S E-Tron GT, RS E-Tron GT, and the flagship RS E-Tron GT Performance. The RS E-Tron GT Performance becomes Audi’s most powerful production vehicle ever, boasting 912-hp, making it the quickest car to carry the Four Rings. Despite falling slightly behind the Taycan Turbo GT in terms of power, the E-Tron GT Performance accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.5 seconds.

Powerful Performance Across the Range
The RS E-Tron GT offers 845 hp for a 2.8-second sprint, while the base E-Tron GT comes with 671 hp for a 3.4-second run. Both RS models reach a top speed of 155 mph, with the base model slightly lower at 152 mph. All three models feature a dual-motor setup for all-wheel drive, with no plans for a single-motor, rear-wheel-drive configuration.

Upgraded Battery and Faster Charging Speeds
The E-Tron GT has received an upgraded battery pack, increasing usable energy capacity from 84 kWh to 97 kWh while reducing weight by 20 pounds. The battery now supports a maximum charging power of 320 kW, charging from 10 to 80 percent in just 18 minutes under ideal conditions. Additionally, a quick 10-minute charge can provide 174 miles of range. The rear electric motor is also lighter, contributing to overall efficiency.

Extended Range and Enhanced Suspension
For those seeking efficiency, the base S E-Tron GT offers a maximum range of 378 miles on the WLTP cycle. The entry-level model features a newly developed two-chamber, two-valve air suspension that can adjust ride height by up to 3 inches for added comfort over bumps. The RS E-Tron GT Performance also includes a dedicated performance mode for track use.

Retro-Inspired Design and Premium Features
While the E-Tron GT maintains its futuristic appearance, it includes nods to Audi’s past, such as 21-inch forged wheels inspired by the 1991 Audi Avus Quattro concept. The RS E-Tron GT Performance’s digital instrument cluster features a white theme reminiscent of the 1994 RS2 Avant.

Pricing and Availability
Pricing for the US market has not been released yet, but in Germany, the 2025 S E-Tron GT starts at €126,000 ($135,200), the RS E-Tron GT costs €147,500 ($158,200), and the RS E-Tron GT Performance is priced at €160,500 ($172,200).

In conclusion, the 2025 Audi E-Tron GT offers more power, faster charging speeds, longer range, and enhanced performance across the lineup, making it a compelling option in the electric luxury sedan segment. With its blend of cutting-edge technology, retro-inspired design elements, and advanced features, the E-Tron GT sets a new standard for electric performance vehicles.
