Introduction: Kia has teased the production version of the EV3 concept before its global debut on May 23. The crossover appears to stay true to the concept design with only minor changes, promising an exciting addition to the Kia lineup.
\
Exterior Design
\
The production version of the EV3 concept looks very similar to its show car predecessor, with only a few noticeable changes. The headlights now feature horizontal elements instead of vertical ones, similar to the EV9 and K4 models. The taillights have also been updated, now showcasing a pattern of vertical lines running into the tailgate. The concept’s distinct four-spoke wheels may also make it to the final production model.

Interior Features
\
It has been hinted that many of the concept interior’s innovative features will make their way to production. This includes the climate control panel that slides out from under the dashboard, rows of air vents with backlit and motorized pieces, and a movable center console that can be locked into different positions. The rear bench can flip upward to allow for more cargo space, similar to Honda Fit’s Magic Seats. Kia is also working on a vehicle-to-load charging system to charge items like e-bikes on the go.

Accessibility and Pricing
\
Kia emphasizes accessibility with the EV3, aiming to make it available for the masses. While the pricing has not been disclosed yet, estimates place the EV3 in the $30,000 to $40,000 range, depending on battery size and motor count. Customers can choose between a smaller 58 kWh battery pack or potentially a larger 77.4 kWh pack.
\
Global Premiere
\
The global premiere of the EV3 production version is scheduled for May 23 at 6 a.m. Eastern Time. With its sleek design and innovative features, the EV3 is set to make a significant impact in the electric crossover market.
